The Bangladesh Caterers Association (BCA) Cambridgeshire continues to demonstrate its commitment to excellence in the food service industry. In a recent initiative, the association organized a crucial Food Hygiene Level 2 training course for its members, reinforcing its mission to support and elevate the standards of Bangladeshi caterers in the region.

Held at Tamarind in Teversham, the training session saw an impressive turnout of more than 30 individuals from various member establishments. This robust participation underscores the dedication of BCA Cambridgeshire’s members to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene in their operations.

The Food Hygiene Level 2 course covered essential topics critical to ensuring food safety in catering establishments. Participants gained valuable insights into legal responsibilities, temperature control, food storage and preparation techniques, personal hygiene standards, and effective cleaning methods. This comprehensive training equips our members with the knowledge and skills necessary to comply with food safety laws and maintain impeccable hygiene standards in their establishments.

BCA Cambridgeshire’s Secretary General, Khaled Ahmed, emphasized the importance of such training initiatives: “Ensuring food safety and hygiene is not just a legal requirement; it’s a cornerstone of our commitment to excellence in Bangladeshi hospitality. This training empowers our members to continue delivering safe, high-quality food experiences to their customers.”

This training initiative aligns perfectly with BCA Cambridgeshire’s broader mission to safeguard and promote the professional and economic interests of Bangladeshi caterers in the United Kingdom. Since its inauguration on November 16, 2022, the association has been actively working to support its members through various programs and initiatives.

The success of this training session follows other notable achievements by BCA Cambridgeshire, including their rapid response to the Turkey-Syria earthquake crisis, where they raised over £12,000 through a coordinated fundraising effort. Additionally, their recent Cambridge Community Iftar & Fundraising Event raised an impressive £11,953.08, showcasing the association’s commitment to community engagement and charitable causes.

As BCA Cambridgeshire continues to grow from strength to strength, initiatives like the Food Hygiene Level 2 training demonstrate the association’s dedication to not only representing its members but also actively contributing to their professional development and success.
